Arts & Crafts style bobbin turned arm chair

Arts & Crafts style bobbin turned arm chair
DescriptionA rather unusual bobbin turned, rush seated arm chair dating, probably, from the 1920s - or '30s in spite of the fact that it is of Arts & Crafts style and has the impression of being somewhat older it is likely of Continental origin. It is of oak, with a degree of ebonisation that has worn to a good patina, its joints are sound and it has a generous width: but to be frank it is more suitable for occasional sitting rather than an evening's relaxation in front of the fire with a good book.
