A rather handsome mid 18th century long case clock of 8 day duration by Adam Cleak of Bridport, Dorset. Twelve inch dial with a well proportioned oak case, the hood having attractive blind fretwork decoration below a dentil cornice. 78 inches tall with width of 17 inches at its widest points.

Rather more attractive, with its visible escapement, and architecturally imposing than some of its brethren I hope you will agree this victorian mantel clock was made, with a French movement, for J.W.Benson of Ludgate Hill, London. Although we are not clock specialists and it has not been restored or serviced it is ticking away perfectly happily in our shop.

Scottish long case clock of the Regency period by John Neilson of Glasgow who is recorded as working circa 1810 to 1817. Movement is is eight day duration with a strike on the hour. Case has fine mahogany flame veneers with reeded quarter pillars and other attractive features of its age.
